NYLEXOGRIP cohesive support bandages - Urgo
Nylexogrip is a cohesive elastic support bandage indicated in sports trauma, in the prevention of accidents such as sprains, dislocations and subluxations and in the treatment of strains and tears.
But that's not all, it can also be used to hold dressings in place.
Nylexogrip is a band airy and conformable Who adheres only to itself , not to the skin or hair. It cuts without scissors which makes it very easy to use.
Its practical advantage: the strip is also washable up to 2 times and therefore reusable!
Instructions for use:
1. To avoid a tourniquet effect, do not apply the tape with too much tension and unroll 20 to 30 cm of tape before each turn.
2. Apply a 1st complete turn on the part of the body to be protected, then a 2nd tower completely covering the 1st .
3. Continue the bandage so that each new turn covers approximately half the area of the strip from the previous round.
4. To ensure that the strip holds properly, the last turn should not be in contact with the skin but should completely cover the previous turn. It should be placed without tension. If necessary, cut the remaining strip by hand (does not require scissors)
5. Finish the bandage by pressing the end of the strip with the palm of your hand for a few seconds.
6. Maintenance:
– Wash by hand or in the washing machine at 40°C maximum, with a standard detergent.
– Rinse and leave to dry flat.
– Once the strip is completely dry, re-roll it on itself, Store it in a clean, dry place away from light .
Precautions for use:
- Do not wash the strip more than twice to prevent its alteration.
- Never place the strip directly on damaged skin (risk of infection and/or delay in the healing process).
- The strip should not be stretched to its maximum so as not to create a tourniquet effect. The embossing of the strip should always remain visible.
- If discomfort occurs, reduce the voltage applied.
- In phlebology, the bandage should be applied before getting up – starting from the toes, moving up the leg – and kept on until going to bed.
- In case of prolonged or repeated use, the elastic threads can be weakened by the use of fatty substances under the bandage.
- Treatment of traumatic and phlebitic pathologies with Nylexogrip must be supervised by a healthcare professional.
To minimize any risk of infections or skin reactions:
- Follow the instructions carefully.
- Do not apply to eyes, thin skin or mucous membranes. Do not use after the expiration date. indicated on the box . Do not use a damaged or soiled .
Contraindications:
Do not use the strip in case of:
- Allergy to latex or another constituent
- Low blood pressure (<8 mmHg maximum)
- Stage III and IV sprain (risk of thrombosis, ischemia)
- Ulceration of infectious origin
Do not use on areas of the body with:
- Arterial pathology (microangiopathy linked to diabetes, arterial ulcers or ulcers with a high arterial component; proven or suspected arteriopathy: risk of thrombosis, ischemia).
- Phlegmatia coerulea dolens (painful blue phlebitis with arterial compression), septic thrombosis.
Side effects: As with any adhesive product, this product may cause skin reactions such as dermatitis or irritation. Any serious incident related to this product must be reported to URGO HEALTHCARE Laboratories and the National Agency for the Safety of Medicines and Health Products (ANSM).
